Cottingham Rangers AFC  – spanning the generations

Cottingham Rangers Football Club

Cottingham Day: active younger and older members join forces in the Civic Hall to promote Cottingham Rangers AFC in the Civic Hall on the 4th. July

The club is an FA Charter Standard Community Club supporting 28 teams with ages from 8 through 18

Founded in 1972 following a conversation by two dads Ron Brown and Brian Metcalf discovering their sons schools didn’t have a football team!

Aims to cater for boys from the Cottingham and Skidby areas attending Cottingham High School.

Coaches are trained to FA Level 1

Age and fitness are not a barrier! Walking football is also practiced by older members.

Veterans also play walking football and many are still active since becoming founding members in the ’70s
